Anthony Brown was named international region managing director.
In this role, he will be responsible for leading First Capital’s international
trade business, reporting to Mark Sunshine, president and COO. Mr. Brown has
been actively involved in business expansion and product development initiatives
in a variety of US-based and international industries. He has previously held
executive management positions with GMAC Commercial Finance, International
Management Consultants, MTB Bank, Manufacturers Hanover Corporation, and was
the CEO and co-founder of the Trading Alliance Corporation where he pioneered
purchase order financing and positioned it as the premier U.S. source of transactional
trade finance for fast-growing international traders.
At his most recent position at GMAC Commercial Finance, Mr. Brown spearheaded product and business development of end-to-end supply chain financing and managed overseas financial institution relationships. He held full responsibility for their North American import and export factoring business of approximately $1 billion in volume. Mr. Brown graduated from the London School of Economics and attended the Corporate Finance program at Harvard Business School.
